Purpose of Job:

To work alongside the Financial Advisers and our office administration team, taking responsibility for managing relationships with clients which includes preparing client reports, preparation and implementation of recommendations and financial plans and on-going review of client financial goals. Keeping up to date with products and regulatory requirements, undertaking any necessary research.

Operations Manager/Senior Financial Adviser

The Role:

We are looking for someone ideally with a client relationship/management background, and able to provide high quality client relationship support to the Financial Advisers and carrying out key tasks across the financial advice process. Along with a competitive salary, the successful candidate will be offered support and financial assistance towards achieving professional qualifications, with the potential to progress to a trainee Financial Adviser.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of client documentation including suitability reports for approval by the Financial Adviser.
  • Working with and supporting the Financial Advisers, which will include managing and attending client meetings, completion of fact finds and documentation ready for clients to review and sign.
  • Effectively and efficiently summarise recommendation options for our Financial Advisers, and draft letters and suitability reports for a wide range of products, providers, and funds.
  • Update client records and business trackers promptly and accurately.
  • Support the Financial Advisers in the development of processes and ideas.
  • Maintain a high degree of technical knowledge relating to core products through ongoing training and self-development.
  • Support the Financial Advisers with research and analysis to meet client needs and objectives.
  • Ensure key compliance and regulatory requirements relating to the financial planning process are adhered to.
  • As an ambitious growing business, we expect staff to 'roll up their sleeves' and support the team in other business tasks when required.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years client relationship/management experience.
  • A good understanding of the financial planning process preferably with a good knowledge of financial services products including pensions, investments, and protection.
  • An awareness of the compliance and regulatory requirements around the financial planning process would be nice to have.
  • Excellent report writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in a small team.
  • A financial planning qualification or ambition to study for a relevant qualification.
