Job summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Administrator to support the financial operations of our organisation. This part-time role is key to ensuring accurate bookkeeping, timely reporting, and smooth financial processes. The ideal candidate will be confident working independently, with a strong grasp of financial systems and a commitment to transparency and efficiency.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Invoicing & Bookkeeping

  • Prepare and issue invoices to clients, tenants, or funders
  • Record and reconcile income and expenditure
  • Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software

Financial Reporting

  • Produce monthly and quarterly financial reports for management and funders
  • Support preparation of year-end accounts and audits
  • Track financial performance against budgets

Budget Management

  • Assist in monitoring and managing organisational budgets
  • Provide budget updates and forecasts to senior staff
  • Support funding applications with financial data

Payroll & Expenses

  • Process payroll and pension contributions (in-house or via external provider)
  • Manage staff expense claims and petty cash/float systems
  • Ensure compliance with HMRC and pension regulations

Float & Financial Systems

  • Maintain and reconcile float systems for staff and programme use
  • Monitor and report on cash flow
  • Support financial policy development and compliance

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 per week

Experience:

  • Bookkeeping: 1 year (required)
  • Microsoft Office: 1 year (required)
