Job summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Finance Administrator to support the financial operations of our organisation. This part-time role is key to ensuring accurate bookkeeping, timely reporting, and smooth financial processes. The ideal candidate will be confident working independently, with a strong grasp of financial systems and a commitment to transparency and efficiency.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Invoicing & Bookkeeping
- Prepare and issue invoices to clients, tenants, or funders
- Record and reconcile income and expenditure
- Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software
Financial Reporting
- Produce monthly and quarterly financial reports for management and funders
- Support preparation of year-end accounts and audits
- Track financial performance against budgets
Budget Management
- Assist in monitoring and managing organisational budgets
- Provide budget updates and forecasts to senior staff
- Support funding applications with financial data
Payroll & Expenses
- Process payroll and pension contributions (in-house or via external provider)
- Manage staff expense claims and petty cash/float systems
- Ensure compliance with HMRC and pension regulations
Float & Financial Systems
- Maintain and reconcile float systems for staff and programme use
- Monitor and report on cash flow
- Support financial policy development and compliance
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 per week
Experience:
- Bookkeeping: 1 year (required)
- Microsoft Office: 1 year (required)
