New Home Senior Residential Care Practitioner
Location: Northampton NN3 & NN5
Hourly rate of £15.15 to £15.50 per hour / £31,512 - £32,240 per annum - plus Sleep in rate of £55, working out to £35,472 - £36,200 per annum.
Shift patterns - Full time working long days 15-hour shift including (approx. 4-6 sleep ins per month) - 40 hour a week, permanent contract
- Required QCF Level 3 Residential Childcare or equivalent
- Required minimum 2 years' experience in Residential childcare.
- Required Full UK Driving Licence
We currently operate two homes - Hawking House a 3 bedroom EBD home and Nightingale House. We are looking for experienced, passionate, and enthusiastic Care Practitioners to work with us to build a successful, able, and supportive team. This role will allow the successful candidate to mould, drive and develop the Children's Home and take it to outstanding.
You will work alongside and be led by an experienced Registered Manager & Deputy Manager who has a proven track record with OFSTED of achieving Outstanding in their previous role.
Our home are both large Children's Homes which will provide 3 residential placements for children between the ages of 8 to 18 years.
Senior Care practitioners play a vitally important role in the life of the home. We are looking for an experienced and qualified Senior Care Practitioner to become part of a new home, caring for young people who have sometimes complex emotional difficulties. You will lead and guide the team, using your knowledge and skills to ensure the best outcomes even during emotionally challenging and sometimes difficult situations.

· Lead, support and guide your team to ensure the home runs smoothly
· Be a role model, lead by example, communicate well, and always put the needs of the children first.
· You'll be patient, thrive in a team environment, able to support those around you and have the emotional intelligence and resilience to manage challenging situations.
· Great communication skills, positive and energetic.
· You need to be able to work flexibly in caring for the children. This will include working shifts and sleep-ins.
