About You.

  • Are you an analytical Credit Risk Manager with experience of shaping, developing and managing teams?
  • Does the idea of joining a business undergoing an exciting period of transformation appeal?

About the Role.

We're now looking for a highly skilled and analytical Senior Credit Risk Manager to elevate our strategy and expand a key segment of our business. You'll have a proven track record of achieving outstanding credit results (ideally within the auto lending sector) and will bring a strong and data-driven approach to credit risk management.

This is a pivotal position ideal for an individual passionate about analysing data, capable of translating insights into actionable market strategies, and who excels in dynamic, high-responsibility settings.

You'll elevate our approach to lending decisions and will balance growth objectives with the financial health of our business. Your responsibilities will include analysing and implementing top-tier decision-making processes and automation. You will ensure our strategies align with strong credit outcomes, leveraging data-driven insights and innovative solutions specifically designed for the dynamics of the car loan market.

You'll help build and manage a newly formed Credit Risk Team, so will have prior experience of developing, mentoring and managing team promoting a culture focused on growth, collaboration, and operational excellence.

Strong stakeholder management skills are a must, and you'll be adept at presenting and explaining complex information to both technical and nontechnical staff.

This will be a varied, interesting and challenging role, which will allow you to help us shape a key area of our business during an exciting period of growth and change. Your responsibilities will be varied, but will include the following:

  • Optimising and enhancing our credit risk and affordability strategies
  • Ensuring lending decisions focus on both growth and financial sustainability
  • Analysing data to implement best-in-class decision-making frameworks
  • Utilising advanced automation techniques to support business objectives
  • Tailoring innovative approaches to the unique aspects of the car loan market
  • Collaborating with a dedicated, skilled risk team to innovate credit and affordability strategies, making thoughtful decisions through a practical approach to analytics and data.
  • Developing efficient processes that strike a balance between customer outcomes, operational efficiency, and business objectives
  • Achieving real-world results by enhancing credit performance and lowering arrears rates across the entire risk spectrum
  • Leveraging data and insights to pinpoint trends, shape strategy, and foster ongoing process improvements
  • Ensuring all initiatives comply with regulatory, legal, and compliance standards, while maintaining a strong commitment to customer fairness

Your Background and Experience.

This role will form a pivotal part of the further development of our Credit Risk function, so it's imperative that the successful applicant will have proven experience in credit risk management and affordability strategies, proficiency in data-driven decision making and in-depth knowledge of UK bureau data. You'll be familiar with fraud detection techniques, alternative data sources and collections solutions.

We're excited to be recruiting for this role, so if the above strikes a cord with you, and matches your experience, we'd love to hear from you
