Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive and commercially minded Business Development Manager to drive the growth of Nuffield Inspection's inspection and integrity services. The ideal candidate will have strong technical awareness within the storage tank, pipeline, and asset integrity sectors, alongside proven experience developing client relationships and generating new business opportunities.

This role combines strategic business development with hands-on client engagement, requiring someone who can confidently represent the company and translate technical expertise into commercial value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across target industries (refineries, terminals, chemical plants, energy, and manufacturing).
  • Develop and manage relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and industry partners.
  • Promote Nuffield Inspection's capabilities in EEMUA 159 tank inspection, pipeline inspection, asset integrity management, and engineering assessment.
  • Prepare and deliver proposals, quotations, and tender submissions.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to shape client solutions and ensure successful project delivery.
  • Contribute to the development of marketing materials, service brochures, and digital content.
  • Track market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities to inform strategic planning.
  • Attend industry events, exhibitions, and client meetings as required.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in business development or sales within the inspection, engineering, or asset integrity sector.
  • Sound understanding of storage tank inspection (EEMUA 159), pipeline inspection, and asset integrity principles.
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to convert technical solutions into business value.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work effectively both independently and within a team.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel when required.
