Job Summary

The Social Enterprise Manager will play a pivotal role in leading and managing our social enterprise initiatives. This position is designed for an individual who is passionate about creating social impact through sustainable business practices. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing strategies that align with our mission, overseeing operations, and ensuring the financial viability of our social enterprise projects.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the impact and sustainability of social enterprise initiatives.
  • Manage day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient processes and high-quality service delivery.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including community organisations, government bodies, and private sector partners, to foster relationships that support our mission.
  • Monitor and evaluate programme performance, using data to inform decision-making and improve outcomes.
  • Lead a team of staff and volunteers, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for stakeholders to communicate progress and impact effectively.
  • Identify funding opportunities and assist in grant writing to secure financial support for initiatives.

Experience

  • Proven experience in managing social enterprises or similar initiatives is essential.
  • Proven experience in at least one of the sectors: justice, youth, education, mental health, social enterprise
  • Strong understanding of social impact measurement and evaluation methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership skills with a track record of managing diverse teams effectively.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage a variety of stakeholders.
  • Experience in strategic planning and project management is highly desirable.
  • A background in finance or business management would be advantageous but not mandatory.
