Operations & Business Development Manager – Midlands & Mid Wales

Reports To: Lee Davies, Chief Operating Officer – Maid to Help Facilities Management

Location: Field-based across the Midlands and Mid Wales region, with regular travel to client sites and head office as required.

As part of our national expansion, we are looking for an experienced and driven Operations & Business Development Manager to lead regional operations, manage contracts, and drive new business growth across the Midlands and Mid Wales.

Role Overview

This dual-role position combines operational leadership with business development. The successful candidate will oversee day-to-day delivery across multiple contracts, ensuring quality, compliance, and client satisfaction, while also identifying and converting new commercial opportunities within the region.

Key Responsibilities

· Operations Management

· Oversee the delivery of cleaning, security, and FM contracts across the Midlands and Mid Wales.

· Manage, support, and develop site supervisors, team leaders, and frontline staff.

· Conduct regular site audits and quality checks to ensure contractual compliance and high standards.

· Liaise with clients to maintain strong working relationships, address concerns, and identify improvement opportunities.

· Ensure health & safety compliance, training records, and risk assessments are up to date.

· Work closely with the Head Office and COO to support operational reporting, staffing levels, and cost control.

· Support mobilisation of new contracts, including recruitment, equipment, and systems setup.

· Business Development

· Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the region (cleaning, security, and FM).

· Conduct site visits and produce professional proposals in conjunction with the senior leadership team.

· Build and maintain strong local networks to support growth and tender opportunities.

· Attend networking events and represent Maid to Help at regional business functions.

· Work with the marketing and tender team to submit proposals and presentations to potential clients.

· Report on regional sales activity, pipeline, and conversion metrics.

Key Skills & Experience

· Proven background in Operations or Contract Management within FM, Cleaning, or Security sectors.

· Experience managing multiple client accounts and frontline teams across multiple sites.

· Strong commercial awareness and ability to identify and win new business.

· Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.

· Confident presenting to clients and negotiating service agreements.

· Full UK Driving Licence and flexibility to travel regionally.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
