Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Hydraulic Technician to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, assembly, and repair of hydraulic systems and components. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work with various tools and equipment. The Hydraulic Technician will play a crucial part in ensuring the efficient operation of hydraulic machinery.
The position will require you to travel to local sites, offshore and overseas.
The types of equipment you will be required to work on will be:
- Oil and Gas drilling equipment.
- Torquing equipment for all drilling, casing and completion threads.
- Pumping equipment - engine driven triplex pump skids.
- Pressure test equipment - hydrostatic and Nitrogen
- Electric and diesel driven hydraulic power packs.
Responsibilities
- Assemble hydraulic components using hand tools and power tools.
- Fabricate parts as needed to support hydraulic system repairs and modifications.
- Operate forklifts to transport materials and equipment safely around the worksite.
- Perform heavy lifting tasks as required during maintenance and assembly processes.
- Conduct inspections of hydraulic systems to identify potential issues or areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot electrical components related to hydraulic systems.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex hydraulic systems.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
- Experience operating forklifts safely in a work environment.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks consistently throughout the day.
- Familiarity with electrical components associated with hydraulic systems is an advantage.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate effectively with team members.
- Full UK drivers license
- Full UK / European Passport
