Your mission
We are looking for a Sales Development Team Manager on a
fixed term 12 month contract
to support and develop Birdie's sales development team, reporting to the VP of Sales. You'll take responsibility for the Sales Development team, onboarding, coaching and developing your team to success, motivating and inspiring them to achieve their goals, and optimising our sales development processes. The SDR team covers SME, MME, and inbound reps. Your mission is to be hands-on with the sales development team, but also to drive strategic initiatives, whether directly within sales, or working closely with other functions such as Product, Customer Success, and Marketing to that care teams across the UK can deliver the kind of care they'd want for their own families.
How you will contribute
- Champion high performance by delivering proactive feedback to achieve consistent target attainment.
- Collaborate with the commercial leadership team to co-ordinate priorities and deliver thorough enablement while accurately forecasting team performance weekly, monthly and quarterly.
- Use your expertise in coaching to improve individual performance and growth and own the development of top talent, creating clear progression paths and ensuring Birdie maintains a strong internal talent bench
- Implement structured training programmes which align to business and strategic goals
- Analyse data, spotting gaps and areas for process and performance improvement, to design and build initiatives for success.
- Design, test and optimise outbound sequences and flows, ensuring SDRs use relevant, creative and data-driven outreach
- Bring energy and motivation to a high-call activity environment, ensuring reps stay positive and focused
- Leverage sales enablement tools (HubSpot, Gong, Looker, LinkedIn SalesNav, etc.) to drive performance improvements and process efficiency
- Help drive SDR engagement around events, ensuring maximum outbound activity and pipeline impact before, during and after marketing-led campaigns
