Kenny Recruit are working with a
visitor attractions company
to find a part
time Finance Director
on a permanent basis.

As the Finance Director you will be responsible for shaping the company strategy and leading aligned financial planning while ensuring compliant, efficient finance, accounting, and IT operations.

Pay:
£70,000 per annum (pro rata for 22.5hrs a week)

Location:
York (3 days in the office)

Working hours
: 22.5 hours over 3 days

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies, budgets, forecasts, and an internal audit programme to drive growth, profitability, and long-term sustainability.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow, financial risks, and liquidity to ensure financial stability.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process and oversee preparation of accurate, timely financial accounts and reports for executives, board members, management, and stakeholders.
  • Provide financial insights, guidance, and recommendations to the CEO, senior leadership, and managers to support strategic decisions and business objectives.
  • Manage relationships with financial institutions, auditors, suppliers, and other key stakeholders to ensure efficiency, compliance, and value for money.
  • Develop and maintain robust financial policies and procedures, ensuring adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and accounting standards, including tax planning, compliance, and audits.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the finance and IT teams, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence, mentoring staff, and supporting succession planning.
  • Oversee IT operations to ensure objectives are met within budget.

The right person:

  • Proven experience as a Finance Director, Chief Financial Officer, or senior finance leader.
  • ACA or equivalent ACAEW qualification.
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
  • Extensive managerial and leadership experience.
  • Strong strategic thinking and decision-making skills.
  • Experience working within an industry involving guest experience i.e. hotels, attractions, museums.
