[ About the Role]
Student Administration Officer will be the first point of contact for the delivery of a professional service to students and staff. They will have a comprehensive understanding of School policies and procedures and broader HE issues. This role will work primarily within the Fees and Funding team.
They will be responsible for processing student enrolment changes and funding applications for all SOAS programmes (including UG, PGT and PGR, both on campus and online/flexible learning, and those delivered via partnership and validation arrangements), ensuring the accuracy of the student record and of tuition fee invoicing.
They will be able to work across all areas of the team's work but will specialise in particular areas or activities relating to fees, funding, and scholarships.
All members of staff are required to be aware of the SOAS environment and to be active in communicating and cooperating with other staff and departments; this includes assisting with other tasks as required. They need to be prepared to work in accordance with the equality and diversity plan, comply with health, safety, and safeguarding rules and abide by all guidelines,
procedures and policies.

The Registry is part of the Student and Academic Services Directorate. It is responsible for the central elements of student administration, including enrolment, progression and awards, and for the student and curriculum records for the School. It has two specialist teams, Student Administration & Records [SAR], and Curriculum, Assessment & Quality Assurance [CAQA]
