Multi-Skilled Engineer
Are you a hands-on engineer who loves solving problems and keeping things running smoothly? Join a well-established, food manufacturer that's been producing some of the UK's favourite brands for over a century. With a reputation for excellence and a strong focus on sustainability and teamwork, this is your chance to be part of a company that truly values its people.
We have both day and nigh shift patterns available
What You'll Be Doing
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you'll be part of a close-knit team that keeps the factory running like clockwork. You'll take on a mix of mechanical and electrical work, from tackling breakdowns to planning proactive maintenance and driving improvement projects.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) with a proactive approach.
- Quickly and efficiently repairing machinery to keep production on track.
- Contributing to continuous improvement and engineering KPI goals.
- Taking ownership of your time and projects to reduce downtime.
- Getting involved in site and equipment upgrades to make a real difference.
What We're Looking For
- Hands-on engineering experience.
- A practical, can-do attitude — this isn't a desk job
- Multi-skilled background with a recognised qualification (ONC, NVQ Level 3 or higher) in electrical and mechanical engineering, or a completed apprenticeship.
What's In It For You
- A friendly, inclusive team that supports each other.
- Ongoing training and development to help you grow your skills.
- Service awards and enhanced maternity/paternity pay.
- Free life insurance.
- Perkbox membership — with discounts and monthly treats (think Greggs or Café Nero).
- Discounted products.
- A paid
Celebration Day
after one year's service to mark your birthday or another special occasion. - Discounted gym memberships and free eye tests.
- Extra allowances for First Aiders and Mental Health First Aiders.
- Wellness and charity matching programmes.
If you're looking for a rewarding engineering role where no two days are the same — and where your ideas and efforts really matter — we'd love to hear from you.
Join a team that's passionate about food, people, and making things better every day.
