, is seeking an exceptional
Director of Income Generation
to shape, drive and deliver our long-term ambition: reaching more people, earlier, with expert palliative and end-of-life care.

This is a rare opportunity to join a forward-thinking Executive Leadership Team and play a pivotal role in securing the financial sustainability and future development of one of the region's most valued charities.

About the Role

As our Director of Fundraising & Income Generation, you will provide strategic, visionary leadership across all voluntary income streams, supporter engagement and commercial activities. You will be responsible for growing and diversifying income, elevating our brand and impact across Staffordshire and the wider region, and ensuring our fundraising are sector leading.

You will lead a highly skilled team covering many aspects of income generation, including fundraising, campaign management, lottery, CRM and supporter experience - driving a culture of innovation, accountability, collaboration and excellence. Working closely with the CEO, Board of Trustees and Executive Leadership Team, you will shape organisational strategy, develop new opportunities and embed an ambitious, values-led approach to income generation.

This role offers the scope, autonomy and influence to truly transform our reach and impact ensuring that St Giles can continue to deliver outstanding care for generations to come.

About You

We are looking for a strategic and inspirational leader with:

Proven Fundraising & Income Generation Leadership

  • Significant experience in a
    senior or executive fundraising leadership role
    within the charitable sector.
  • A strong track record of
    driving substantial growth
    in voluntary income.
  • Extensive success in business development, securing and stewarding high-value donors, partners and corporates, including
    six-figure income generation
    .

Transformational & Values-Led Leadership

  • Evidence of leading
    service change
    , cultural transformation and high-performing teams.
  • Strong people leadership skills with the ability to coach, inspire and develop individuals at all levels, including senior managers.
  • Ability to bring fresh ideas and secure organisational buy-in while maintaining momentum across traditional income streams.

Relationship Management & External Influence

  • Exceptional relationship-building ability, credible with philanthropists, corporates, Trustees, commissioners and media.
  • Experience influencing and negotiating with stakeholders across complex systems and diverse organisations.
  • Skilled in partnership development, with the ability to respond effectively to evolving external environments.

Analytical, Commercial & Strategic Mindset

  • Experience using data analysis, insight and research to maximise ROI.
  • Commercial acumen, financial fluency and the ability to lead large, complex teams in a mission-driven, charitable setting.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate strategy, inspire confidence and represent the hospice externally.
