Nursery Deputy Manager

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Deputy Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the overall management of our facility, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children. This position requires strong leadership abilities and a passion for early childhood education, as well as the capability to effectively communicate with both staff and parents. The will be office based with the need to cover staff absences and holiday.
Duties
- Assist the Manager in the daily operations of the facility, ensuring compliance with all regulations and standards.
- Supervise staff and provide guidance to ensure high-quality childcare practices are maintained.
- Foster a positive environment that promotes the development and well-being of children.
- Develop and implement educational programmes that cater to the needs of children in early childhood settings.
- Maintain effective communication with parents regarding their children's progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Manage administrative tasks such as record keeping, scheduling, and staff training.
- Support the recruitment, training, and performance management of staff members.
Skills
- Proven experience in management and leadership roles within childcare settings.
- Strong background in early childhood education, with relevant qualifications preferred.
- Experience working with children, demonstrating a deep understanding of their developmental needs.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to engage effectively with children, parents, and staff.
- Ability to drive is advantageous for transporting children or materials as required.
