Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Baby Room Leader to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong background in childcare or early childhood education. As a Room Leader, you will play a crucial role in managing daily operations, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for children, and leading a team of staff members. Your leadership skills and ability to communicate effectively will be essential in fostering a positive atmosphere for both children and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations within the nursery, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Lead and manage a team of childcare staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their children's progress and any concerns.
  • Develop and implement engaging educational activities tailored to the needs of children.
  • Monitor the wellbeing of children, ensuring they are safe, happy, and engaged.
  • Maintain accurate records of children's activities, attendance, and incidents as required.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in childcare or early childhood education is essential.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • A genuine passion for working with children and understanding their developmental needs.
  • Ability to drive initiatives that enhance the quality of care provided within the nursery setting.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong organisational skills.
  • Previous experience working directly with children in a nursery or similar environment is highly desirable.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.65-£12.80 per hour
