Our PayPal, Venmo, and Xoom products also make it safer and simpler for friends and family to transfer funds to each other. We offer merchants an end-to-end payments solution that provides authorization and settlement capabilities, as well as instant access to funds and payouts. We also help merchants connect with their customers, process exchanges and returns, and manage risk. We enable consumers to engage in cross-border shopping and merchants to extend their global reach while reducing the complexity and friction involved in enabling cross-border trade.

What you need to know about the role: This Account Manager role on the UK Growth Account Management team is pivotal to merchant success. You'll manage key relationships, oversee account strategy, and identify opportunities to grow portfolios while ensuring seamless onboarding, adoption, and long-term value through PayPal's platform. Job Description:
Essential Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with internal teams to influence process quality.
- Determine appropriate actions for process improvements.
- Recommend solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Monitor and manage account health and performance.
- Provide analytical insights to support business decisions.
Expected Qualifications:
- 3+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Your day-to-day:
In your day-to-day role, you will….
- Develop and execute strategic account plans aligned with PayPal's vision to deliver long-term value for merchants and PayPal.
- Drive revenue retention, upsell, and cross-sell initiatives, consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
- Negotiate complex commercial terms and contracts to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Monitor account health, proactively addressing risks to ensure merchant success and satisfaction.
- Advocate for merchant needs within PayPal, driving innovative, market-aligned solutions.
- Oversee onboarding, integration, and day-to-day operations to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Build and maintain executive-level relationships to foster long-term strategic partnerships.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration to deliver on account objectives and operational excellence.
- Manage pipelines, forecasts, and reporting with accuracy through CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce).
- Leverage competitive insights to refine strategies and support PayPal's broader business growth.
What do you need to bring:
- Proven experience in account management, business development, or sales within payments, technology, or financial services.
- Strong understanding of the UK payments ecosystem, e-commerce, and fintech products.
- Demonstrated success in growing and retaining enterprise accounts through strategic planning and solution selling.
- Skilled negotiator and communicator with experience managing senior stakeholder relationships.
- Strategic and analytical thinker with a track record of delivering measurable business results.
- Collaborative team player, comfortable operating in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
- Proficiency in CRM systems such as Salesforce.
- Excellent English (written and spoken).
