Search are supporting the recruitment of a Business Analyst to join our client's Cash & Cards Operations team in Edinburgh. This is a specialist role based fully on site offering the opportunity to apply your deep understanding of card payment processes in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

About the Role

As Business Analyst, you'll work closely with product, technology, and operations teams to resolve complex customer enquiries and executive complaints, while helping to shape and improve payment processes. You'll play a key role in supporting the development of tools, training materials, and operational playbooks for new payment products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate and resolve complex cash and card issues escalated from frontline teams
  • Collaborate with Product and Operations teams to design customer journeys
  • Gather requirements and support the development of tools and processes
  • Deliver training and create documentation for Contact Centre and Ops teams
  • Maintain and update operational playbooks for new payment products

Skills and experience you'll ideally have:

  • In-depth knowledge of card payment processes including transaction lifecycle, authorisation, clearing, and settlement
  • Experience with Visa or MasterCard schemes
  • Familiarity with ISO8583 format (preferred)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure with high attention to detail
  • A relevant degree or financial qualification (beneficial)
