Job Title: Business Analyst

Location: Onsite Edinburgh

We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for analysing and improving business processes, particularly in the area of payments. Your insights will help drive operational excellence and support key initiatives.

Requirments:

  • Document lower-level processes for each bucket to ensure clarity and consistency.

  • Conduct investigation and analysis at the scheme level of failings, performing root cause analysis and ensuring corrective actions are confirmed.

  • Gain knowledge and capability to work through the backlog to enhance efficiency.

  • Consider tooling requirements and explore opportunities for automation and AI to streamline processes.

  • Assess the crossover with the financial recs backlog to maximise resource utilisation.

  • Enable wider Business As Usual (BAU) capability and support existing client staff to be upskilled on sub-processes, breaking down APP cases into manageable components to aid recovery and stabilisation.

  • Collaborate with client resources added to the team to gain Subject Matter Expert (SME) insights.

  • Focus on APP analysis to support case remediation, capturing challenges and building a decision tree for streamlined operations.

  • Operationally complete remediation actions or package them up and hand off to the BAU operational team for execution.

  • Leverage AI to document processes and procedures, simulate processes, and support the target operating model.

  • Support the upskilling of team members and facilitate the transition to the BAU team for sustained performance.

Required Skills:

  • Strong understanding of payment processes and systems.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

  • Experience with process documentation and improvement methodologies.
