You will continue to lead complex analysis activities across strategic programmes or Value Streams, while also being accountable for managing a team of Business Analysts and driving the development of the business analysis practice.
This is a leadership role, responsible for defining and maintaining analysis standards, frameworks, and methodologies that ensure consistency, quality, and strategic alignment across the transformation portfolio. You will play a key role in shaping the direction of business analysis within Aegon UK, fostering capability uplift, and embedding best practice.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Leading and managing a team of Business Analysts, conducting 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development conversations. As well as coaching and mentoring analysts to deepen business knowledge and analytical capability.
- Driving continuous improvement in analysis practices, tooling, and methodology across the transformation portfolio
- Allocating resources effectively, balancing skills, capacity, and development needs.
- Reviewing and assuring quality of analysis deliverables, ensuring consistency and strategic alignment.
- Leading complex, cross-functional analysis initiatives aligned to business goals and regulatory frameworks.
- Engaging senior stakeholders to influence decision-making and ensure clarity of objectives.
- Translate strategic objectives into actionable insight for the BA team, fostering alignment and understanding.
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
- Extensive experience in business analysis, with a strong track record of leading complex initiatives.
- Proven leadership and people management skills, including coaching and capability development.
- Expertise in defining and applying analysis frameworks and methodologies across change portfolios.
- Advanced stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, including experience with senior leadership.
- Strategic thinking and commercial awareness, with the ability to align analysis to business goals.
- Experience working in Agile, Waterfall and hybrid delivery environments.
- Strong data analysis skills and the ability to translate insights into business recommendations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly.
What's in it for you?
- We're serious about your future and our enhanced pension scheme is now in place. We ask you to contribute 3% of your salary to your pension and we'll put in 9%. If you decide to contribute more, we'll match it up to a combined total of 20% of your salary (that's 7% from you and 13% from us).
- A discretionary bonus, depending on personal and company performance
- 38 days leave per year (including bank holidays, pro-rated for part-time)
We also offer private medical cover, life assurance, critical illness cover, enhanced parental leave and a variety of lifestyle benefits to help our employees live their best lives, including retail discount vouchers, cycle2work scheme, subsidised restaurant and online GP appointments.
