Our client is a values-led, purpose-driven organisation of around 40 employees, working across multiple business areas. They are proud of their positive and collaborative culture and are now looking to appoint their first Head of People. This part-time senior leadership role will shape professional development, wellbeing and the wider people strategy as the organisation continues to grow and evolve.

This is a newly created position offering the opportunity to bring structure, warmth and expertise to how people are supported and developed. The Head of People will act as a trusted adviser to the senior leadership team, building leadership capability, strengthening culture and ensuring that staff feel supported, valued and equipped to thrive.

Key Responsibilities

·Design and deliver a professional development strategy for all staff

·Support leadership capability and create a learning curriculum that encourages growth across the organisation

·Provide high-level advice on complex people matters and coach managers in people management and team development

·Lead wellbeing and mental health initiatives, providing pastoral care and guidance

·Work closely with internal groups to strengthen inclusion, belonging and psychological safety

·Act as the main point of contact for sensitive HR issues, collaborating with external HR providers when required

About You

The successful candidate will bring proven senior experience in HR, People or Organisational Development, with a people-first approach and strong emotional intelligence. They will have experience developing and delivering learning and development initiatives and the confidence to advise senior leaders with empathy, discretion and good judgement. They will be comfortable working independently within a small, purpose-led organisation and able to balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery. Experience within the creative or non-profit sectors, as well as coaching or wellbeing training, would be an advantage.
