Role Description

This is remote role for an Accountancy Trustee, requiring 8 hours a month, unpaid.

The Accountancy Trustee will be responsible for overseeing financial reports, ensuring compliance with charity regulations, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the organization's mission. Additional duties include budgeting, financial risk assessment, and ensuring effective use of resources to drive maximum impact. The Trustee will also work collaboratively with the board to shape organizational policies and strategies while ensuring fiduciary responsibilities are upheld.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in financial management, budgeting, and strategic financial planning
  • Experience with auditing, compliance, and regulatory requirements
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving capabilities
  • Experience in nonprofit organization governance or as a trustee is highly valued
  • Knowledge of global health policies, education, or sustainability initiatives is an advantage
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and collaboration skills
  • A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred, with professional certification (e.g., CPA or ACCA) being an asset
