About Pop & Vibe

As we continue to grow, we are looking to bring an Accounts Assistant into our remote team to support our finance function and help maintain accuracy, compliance, and smooth operations.

The Role

As a Remote Accounts Assistant, you will assist with all financial and accounting tasks, working alongside senior accountants or finance manager, ensuring that the business's financial records are accurate and up to date. You'll need to be self-motivated, organised, comfortable with remote workflows, and able to communicate clearly online.

Key Responsibilities

  • Bookkeeping: record income, expenses, bank transactions, petty cash
  • Reconcile bank statements, supplier/customer accounts
  • Process supplier invoices, payments, and receipts
  • Maintain and update accounting software systems (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar)
  • Assist with VAT returns and periodic filings
  • Support payroll preparation (or liaise with payroll provider)
  • Help prepare management accounts, financial reports, and dashboards
  • Support year-end accounts and liaise with external accountants
  • Maintain digital filing of invoices, receipts, and financial documents
  • Provide general administrative support to the finance / operations team

Essential Skills & Qualifications

  • Prior experience in bookkeeping / accounts support (ideally in a remote or hybrid setting)
  • Good knowledge of accounting principles
  • Experience with one or more accounting systems (Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, etc.)
  • Strong Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, data analysis)
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Strong digital communication skills (email, video calls, chat)

Desirable

  • Part-qualified or studying toward AAT, ACCA, ACA
  • Experience in e-commerce / online business accounting
  • Experience preparing VAT returns, handling digital financial tools or integrations (e.g. payment gateways, Shopify, etc.)
  • Familiarity with cloud accounting tools, APIs, and automations
