The Role
We're looking for an enthusiastic
Events Manager
to join our boutique agency. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the events industry, working alongside senior event managers on exciting projects both in the UK and internationally.
You'll be at the heart of our projects, supporting senior managers, liaising with clients, and helping bring ambitious ideas to life. You'll work from our busy open plan office environment Hampshire office working on exciting live event projects and supporting the planning and delivery of events from initial concept to completion. Expect variety, responsibility, and the chance to travel for off site meetings and events execution.
What You'll Do
- Assist with the coordination and administration of multiple event projects.
- Communicate confidently with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders at all levels.
- Exceptional organisational skills with a methodical and practical approach to all administration tasks
- Manage timelines, schedules, and project documentation with precision.
- Ability to multi-task across a variety of event projects managing workload and deadlines.
- Research and prepare creative proposals using branded templates.
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best contracts, ensuring all necessary event requirements are met.
- Support social media activity across all platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn).
- Ability to remain calm and professional when client facing during meetings & events.
- Selecting, negotiation, co-ordination & contracting with event suppliers
- Use project management tools such as 'MONDAY' to update and manage event workflows and databases, ensuring smooth communication and project tracking
- Attend client meetings and provide on-site event support.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety and hospitality regulations.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in event industry sector, ideally within an agency, corporate office, hotel/venue events office, or similar environment.
- Strong organisational skills and a proactive, can-do attitude.
- Proven ability to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment whist maintaining timelines and necessary deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good understanding of EXCEL spreadsheets and budget management – essential
- Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure.
- A creative eye with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
- Understanding of social media management.
- A full UK driving licence, own car, and valid passport.
Desirable
- Ability to demonstrate a minimum of two years' work experience in similar role.
- Previous experience in events, hospitality, or a similar role.
- Event management or hospitality qualification.
- Overseas event experience (a bonus, not essential).
