About the Role

LC International Ltd is seeking an ambitious and experienced Automated Equipment Sales Manager to lead sales growth within the recycling and waste management sector, specialising in the sale of twin-ram balers and associated automated equipment.

You will operate in a mobile, client-facing role across the UK, actively generating new business, managing existing client relationships, and hitting sales targets as set by the manufacturer and internally. One day per week will be required in the company office in Rochester, Kent for internal meetings, reporting, and cross-department collaboration.

The successful candidate will be a proven sales professional, commercially minded and highly target-driven, with strong industry connections and technical understanding of recycling plant machinery. You will also be actively involved in cross-selling other areas of the business including welding & fabrication, mechanical engineering, maintenance and servicing, and plant sales.

Key Responsibilities

· Actively promote and sell automated recycling equipment, focusing on twin-ram balers

· Meet or exceed sales targets set by the equipment manufacturer.

· Generate new business opportunities through prospecting, networking and industry engagement

· Conduct site visits, client consultations, equipment demonstrations and technical discussions

· Provide accurate quotations, financial projections, and ROI analysis for customers

· Negotiate terms, close deals, and manage sales contracts to completion

· Cross-sell other company services and departments where beneficial to the client.

· Maintain complete and accurate records using CRM systems

· Work closely with engineering, operations and accounts teams to ensure seamless customer experience

· Provide market feedback and competitor intelligence to management

· Attend industry exhibitions, trade shows and manufacturer training sessions as required

· Report sales figures, forecasts, and pipeline updates to senior management weekly

Person Specification

Essential:

· Proven track record in capital equipment or plant machinery sales (ideally within recycling, waste, industrial or engineering sectors)

· Strong commercial awareness with a financially conscious and ROI-focused approach

· Highly confident communicator with strong negotiation and influencing skills

· Target-driven, self-motivated and able to independently generate leads

· Familiar with sales cycles for high-value equipment

· Able to develop strong client relationships and manage full sales lifecycle

· Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the UK

· Professional, company-focused, and committed to business growth

Desirable:

· Experience selling automated machinery (balers, compactors, conveyors, handling equipment)

· Background in recycling, waste management, aggregates or plant machinery

· Knowledge of typical buyer profiles (waste companies, transfer stations, recycling plants)

· Understanding of both plant sales and aftersales service support
