Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sales Manager to lead our sales team and drive business growth. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record in retail or sales management. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee sales operations, develop strategic initiatives, and foster a high-performing team in a fast-paced environment. Multilingual or bilingual skills are highly desirable to effectively engage with diverse client bases and enhance customer relations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the sales team to achieve organisational targets and objectives
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies and merchandising plans
- Supervise daily sales activities, ensuring high standards of customer service and phone etiquette
- Monitor sales performance metrics and prepare detailed reports for senior management
- Organise training programmes to enhance team skills in management, product knowledge, and organisational skills
- Oversee administrative tasks related to sales operations, including scheduling, budgeting, and inventory control
- Foster strong relationships with clients through excellent communication skills and leadership
- Manage the recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing development of sales staff
- Coordinate with marketing teams to optimise promotional campaigns and maximise outreach efforts
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations
Experience
- Proven management experience within retail or sales environments, preferably with supervising teams
- Demonstrable success in sales management, including developing strategies that increase revenue
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and inspire teams towards shared goals
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively and manage time efficiently
- Experience in merchandising, administrative duties, and maintaining high standards of customer service
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional phone manner
- Multilingual or bilingual capabilities are highly advantageous for engaging diverse customer groups
- Previous experience in retail management or related fields is preferred but not essential; relevant managerial qualifications will be considered
