What are we looking for?

Passion and commitment to empowering children from socioeconomically disadvantaged areas.

Previous experience in finance, accounting or related field.

Familiarity with the nonprofit sector including an understand of fundraising and grant management is a plus.

Excellent communication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Oversight Maintain accurate financial records and oversee the charity's accounts, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and best practices.
  • Budget Management Prepare and manage annual budgets in collaboration with the board, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to support our mission.
  • Reporting Regularly present financial reports to the board of trustees, highlighting key financial metrics and trends to aid in decision-making.
  • Fundraising Support Assist in fundraising efforts and grant applications by providing financial information and insights that support our proposals.
  • Strategic Input Contribute to the strategic planning of the charity by providing financial forecasts and advice, helping to shape the long-term sustainability of our programmes.
  • Collaboration Work closely with other trustees and staff members to foster a culture of transparency and accountability within the organisation.
