Treasurer Role

Join the Board of PWN London as
Treasurer
and support the financial heartbeat of our organisation A junior but essential role, you'll oversee expense tracking, manage bookkeeping through our Neo bank app, and ensure transparency in all financial processes.
What difference will you make?
The
Treasurer
plays a key role in keeping PWN London financially organised and transparent. As our operations and partnerships grow, maintaining accurate and timely records is essential for the organisation's credibility and efficiency.
By managing expenses and bookkeeping through our Neo bank app, this trustee will ensure that every transaction — from event costs to sponsorship income — is properly logged and reconciled. Their diligence will enable the Board to make informed decisions and keep financial reporting clear and reliable.
This role will also strengthen our accountability to members, partners, and funders, ensuring all activities meet the financial standards expected of a professional network preparing for charity status.
Ultimately, the Treasurer's work provides the foundation for everything we do — allowing PWN London to operate smoothly, use its resources wisely, and focus on delivering impact, connection, and empowerment to our community.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for a
detail-oriented and trustworthy individual
with strong organisational skills and basic financial literacy. The ideal trustee will be comfortable managing transactions, tracking expenses, and using digital banking or accounting tools.
Experience in
bookkeeping, admin finance, or expense management
would be beneficial, though not essential — a willingness to learn and a methodical approach are most important. Familiarity with
Neo banks
or mobile accounting apps (such as Revolut Business, Monzo, or Tide) will be an advantage.
The Treasurer should be comfortable handling receipts, compiling simple reports, and communicating with other Board members to clarify payments or budgets. Accuracy, reliability, and confidentiality are key.
This role would suit someone early in their leadership journey who wants to gain governance experience in a respected international organisation. It's ideal for a professional who enjoys numbers, order, and accountability — and who values teamwork and shared purpose.
Above all, the Treasurer should have a genuine passion for empowering women and contributing to social impact. By managing our finances with care and clarity, they'll play an indispensable part in ensuring PWN London continues to grow sustainably and deliver meaningful change for its members and community.
What will you be doing?
Our Board is made up of dedicated professionals working together to empower women and promote gender-balanced leadership. As we prepare for our 2026 Board term, we are seeking a
Treasurer
to join us in a junior yet vital capacity — helping to maintain accurate financial records, oversee expenses, and support the smooth running of our financial operations.
The Treasurer will work closely with the President and Head of Governance to ensure that all income, expenditure, and reimbursements are recorded and processed correctly. Using our Neo bank app, they will manage basic bookkeeping tasks, monitor account activity, and ensure transactions are logged in real time.
This role will include reconciling expenses from events, membership activities, and sponsorships, as well as preparing simple monthly summaries for the Board. The Treasurer will also help maintain our expense documentation system — ensuring all receipts are attached, stored securely, and easy to access for reporting and auditing purposes.
While this is not a complex financial management position, it is an ideal opportunity for someone with good organisational skills and an interest in developing their experience in non-profit finance and governance. The trustee will gain exposure to charity financial practices, help shape efficient financial systems, and ensure transparency and accountability across all departments.
The Treasurer will be supported by the President and other Board members in any higher-level financial or strategic matters, making this a collaborative and learning-focused role within a welcoming and purpose-driven team.
This position is perfect for someone reliable, detail-oriented, and eager to make a tangible contribution to a respected international network while developing valuable governance and finance skills.
