We are open to a hybrid working setup.
Role Mission
As a Senior Staff Product Manager for Platform & APIs, you will drive the strategic direction for Ataccama's core data processing engine and programmatic interfaces. You'll define how our platform scales to process massive data volumes efficiently, securely, and cost-effectively across the modern data stack - from Databricks and Snowflake to Kafka and beyond.
You will own the end-to-end API and SDK strategy that makes Ataccama accessible and extensible, while also leading key product decisions around how our underlying engine executes, optimizes, and scales data workloads. This is a highly technical IC role that blends platform architecture, developer experience, and deep product strategy.
Your work will directly influence how Ataccama handles distributed processing, hybrid workloads, and large-scale metadata-driven automation - making our platform a first-class citizen within today's data ecosystems.
Your challenge:- Own the API & SDK execution and strategy: Lead the vision, roadmap, and delivery of our programmatic interfaces, ensuring APIs and SDKs are intuitive, secure, and interoperable across Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Airflow, Kafka, and dbt.
- Define and drive platform strategy: Shape the long-term direction of Ataccama's data processing and compute architecture, including distributed execution, workload optimization, and performance at enterprise scale.
- Bridge APIs and engine architecture: Ensure our APIs expose meaningful, scalable capabilities aligned with how the Ataccama engine executes data quality, observability, and governance workloads.
- Stay ahead of the curve: Understand trends in distributed data processing, query engines, and data integration architectures, and evolve our platform accordingly.
- Collaborate with engineering leadership: Partner with senior staff engineers and architects to translate product strategy into technical execution and guide trade-off decisions between scalability, cost, and simplicity.
- Support enterprise scale: Design for performance, reliability, security, and compliance requirements of large enterprises.
- Engage with customers and partners: Gather feedback from data engineers, architects, and developers from both our customer base and partner ecosystem to ensure our APIs and SDKs solve real-world problems that fit naturally into enterprise data ecosystems.
- Establish success measures: Define and track adoption metrics, usage analytics, and developer satisfaction scores to ensure continuous improvement.
- Industry experience: Deep experience (8–12+ years) in B2B SaaS or enterprise data platforms.
- Proven expertise: Track record of driving platform or infrastructure product strategy, ideally for systems involving large-scale data processing, distributed compute, or developer platforms.
- API and SDK experience: Solid understanding of REST/GraphQL APIs, SDK development, authentication/authorization (OAuth, SSO), and developer experience best practices.
- Data platform knowledge: Strong familiarity with modern data ecosystems - e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, Spark, Flink, Kafka, dbt, and Airflow - and how data workloads are orchestrated and optimized across them.
- Technical fluency: Ability to engage deeply with architecture, compute frameworks, and data processing internals; comfortable discussing engine design and workload optimization trade-offs.
- Strategic operator: Skilled at connecting architectural decisions to product strategy and customer value.
- Collaboration and influence: Exceptional communicator who can align engineering, architecture, and GTM teams around a shared technical vision.
- Passion for scale and performance: Enthusiastic about tackling challenges in distributed processing, data pipelines, and high-volume workloads.
- Experience working in regulated industries (financial services, insurance, pharma) is a plus.
- Company laptop
- Company mobile phone + SIM card & package of mobile data
- Long-Term Incentive Program
- 5 sick days and 25 days of vacation, with the option to request additional Enhanced Time-Off days when needed
