What you'll do- Support for the Head of HR UK & Finance in the monthly payroll process ensuring accuracy.
- Verify attendance records, tracking any payroll-related variables (such as salary increases, bonuses, overtime, or deductions), and ensuring that all data is compliant with company policy to prevent discrepancies, minimize errors, and ensure timely salary payments.
- Employee lifecycle management (hiring, extensions, DSE & Health & Safety monitoring, changes, terminations).
- Support the hiring process to ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new joiners. This involves employment right to work checks, drafting and managing employment-related contract documentation, new starter inductions, as well as creating and maintaining employee profiles in the internal HR management system (Personio).
- Offer continuous support and advice to employees on employment law topics, People team policies and procedures.
- Address employee queries about tax deductions, contract terms, administration of benefits, pension fund options, and company policies.
- Preparation of regular reporting related to monthly administrative flows for monitoring and compliance. This includes compiling and analyzing data related to payroll, employee records, and HR activities, helping management make informed decisions based on accurate and up-to-date information.
- Participate in social staffs events planning.
- Implementation and management of projects related to employee benefits, welfare.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams and the people leadership team based centrally in Italy to ensure an integrated approach to internal talent management and talent acquisition initiatives.
- Occasional travel to Manchester and Milan.
- Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office package, especially Excel.
- Advanced knowledge of any HRIS system.
- Accuracy and confidentiality in performing tasks.
- Proactive with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strict adherence to deadlines.
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English.
- Background in Tech/Startup/Scaleup companies.
- HR related degree or equivalent qualification.
- Familiarity with data analysis and google suite applications.
- Results-oriented mindset.
- Ability to deal with high volume employee numbers.
- Flexibility and resilience.
- Familiarity with a HRIS system.
