Job Role: People & Payroll Specialist

As our People & Payroll Specialist, you'll play a vital role in ensuring payroll accuracy, compliance, and great service for all our colleagues.

You'll be responsible for managing end-to-end payroll, maintaining high-quality HR data, and supporting with benefits, onboarding, and reporting. You'll be the first point of contact for HR and payroll queries, ensuring responses are timely, accurate, and delivered with care.

What you'll do:

  • Prepare and process accurate payroll for around 500 team members each month.

  • Maintain compliance with tax, pension, and employment legislation.

  • Ensure employee records and HR system data are always accurate and up to date.

  • Support onboarding, recognition, and benefits processes.

  • Provide reports and insights for internal and external stakeholders (e.g., HMRC).

  • Respond promptly to payroll and HR queries with excellent customer service.

  • Support general People Team administration e.g.: disciplinaries, grievances etc.

About you:

  • 2+ years' payroll and HR administration experience, ideally in a multi-site environment.

  • Strong working knowledge of payroll systems (e.g., Fourth, ADP, Sage, or Harri).

  • Excellent Excel and data management skills.

  • Knowledge of UK employment law, tax, pensions, and GDPR.

  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and highly organised with a passion for service.
