Payroll Specialist - Defined Benefit Pensions (6-Month Contract)
IR35 Status: Outside IR35
Location: Remote
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist with expertise in Defined Benefit Pensions for an initial 6-month contract role. The ideal candidate will have solid knowledge and practical experience of pension schemes across Guernsey, Jersey, and the Isle of Man, and will be responsible for managing payroll processing, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and providing expert guidance to the pensions team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administering payroll for defined benefit pension schemes across multiple jurisdictions.
- Ensuring compliance with local tax, social security, and pension regulations (Guernsey, Jersey, and Isle of Man).
- Preparing and processing monthly/quarterly payrolls, including pension contributions, benefits, and tax reporting.
- Supporting audit and regulatory reporting requirements for pension schemes.
- Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve payroll-related queries.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in payroll processing, specifically with defined benefit pensions.
- In-depth knowledge of pension and tax legislation in Guernsey, Jersey, and the Isle of Man.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work independently.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
