We're helping a European e-commerce technology leader build out its UK sales team in Brighton.
They've already scaled to 600+ customers globally, partnering with household names like eBay, Temu, and WorldFirst (plus many others), and now they're doubling down on the UK as their a major growth market.
You'll be part of a high-energy, collaborative team - a blend of experienced sales leadership, smart SDRs, and a marketing team that delivers a lot of noise and demand.
The next 12 months are all about converting high-value customers, delivering great demos, and owning the full sales cycle from first conversation to closed deal (land + expand).
Executive Summary
Role: Business Development Manager (Full-cycle AE)
Location: Brighton (office-based 4 days per week / within 30 mins of office)
Salary: £40-50K base | £70-80K OTE (uncapped)
Reports to: Head of Sales
Team: 12 people in the Brighton office, growing to 24 by next year
Market: E-commerce & Marketplace Technology / SaaS
Customers: Online retailers and brands selling across Shopify, Amazon, eBay and international marketplaces
About Our Client
They've achieved 15X growth over the past three years, fuelled by a product loved by SMB brands and now expanding rapidly into mid-market and enterprise companies with global market reach.
The UK division runs like a startup inside a global business - autonomous, well-funded, and led by a brilliant Head of Sales who's built scalable go-to-market engines at global SaaS companies.
You'll be joining a team that values impact, ownership and collaboration, where sales, marketing and SDRs operate as one revenue team.
What You'll Do
- Own the full sales cycle - prospect (70% outbound / 30% inbound), demo, negotiate and close new logos
- Run live demos to show how the platform solves complex e-commerce challenges
- Work closely with SDRs to develop targeted outbound plays into e-commerce and retail brands
- Partner with marketing on campaigns, events and trade shows to generate pipeline
- Manage new accounts for the first six months, focusing on cross-sell, up-sell and expansion before handover to Customer Success
- Contribute to the sales playbook as the UK team scales from 12 to 24 people over the next year
What We're Looking For
- 1+ years' experience in SaaS sales with quota-carrying, closing responsibility
- Proven demo experience - comfortable presenting live software to decision-makers
- Ideally sold into e-commerce brands or worked for an e-commerce platform, agency or logistics tech company
- Hands-on, entrepreneurial mindset - thrives in fast-growth, high-autonomy environments
