We are currently recruiting for a Children and Young Person Outreach and Engagement Officer to develop and enhance our Children and Young Person service.

Job Title: Children and Young Person Outreach and Engagement Officer

Responsible to: Training Manager

Salary/Grade: £27,429 per annum (rising to £28,252 after probationary period)

Annual leave 5.6 weeks per annum (plus public holidays) - pro rata for part time

Hours: 30 hours per week, Monday to Thursday and a requirement for flexible working hours to meet organisational needs

Base: RASASC NW Centres, Bangor and / or Rhyl

This post will require a flexible approach to working hours and the post holder will be expected to work the hours reasonably required to fulfil the duties of the post. This could include working occasional hours at the weekend as well as attendance at evening and weekend meetings and events for RASASC NW.

This post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.

This post is subject to a six month probation period.

The post holder must be currently eligible to work in the UK.

RASASC NW

Established in 1984, RASASC NW is a registered charity providing specialist support and therapy to children (3+) and adults living in North Wales, who have experienced any form of child sexual abuse, sexual abuse / violence and / or rape, whether this has happened recently or in the past. We also provide specialist support and therapy to partners and family members of those who have been affected by sexual abuse and violence.

Are you an experienced and confident trainer with a passion for delivering impactful learning experiences? Do you have and understanding and knowledge of sexual violence and/or trauma/mental health and the ability to work independently from a trainer script? If so, we want to hear from you

As a Children and Young Person Outreach and Engagement Officer you will design and deliver engaging, evidence-based education and wellbeing programmes to a range of audiences, including children, young people, adults, and professionals. These initiatives cover topics such as sexual health, reproductive health, relationships, and wellbeing, and includes RASASC NW's "Don't Steal My Future" training campaign.

Your work will support RASASC NW's mission to raise awareness and improve responses to sexual violence, with a particular focus on educational settings and young audiences.

This role requires both online and in-person delivery and will involve regular travel across North Wales. You must be flexible in your working hours, including occasional evenings and weekends, to meet training demands.

Key Responsibilities

· Deliver high-quality, engaging training on behalf of RASASC NW, using existing materials and frameworks.

· Organise and coordinate training sessions, including venue booking, course material preparation, and participant management.

· Facilitate group work and one-to-one support sessions for RASASC NW service users affected by sexual violence.

· Develop and update online and offline training materials to enhance programme delivery.

· Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programmes, using participant feedback to drive improvements.

· Provide reports on training outcomes, feedback, and impact.

· Work collaboratively with external organisations such as North Wales Police, NHS agencies, schools, and community groups to promote awareness and best practices.

· Represent RASASC NW at local conferences, meetings, and events to raise awareness and strengthen partnerships.

· Support the CEO and senior management team in service development, marketing strategies, and identifying new projects.

· Ensure training records, attendance, and confidentiality are maintained accurately at all times.

What We're Looking For

· Experience in delivering training, ideally within the field of sexual violence, trauma, or related social services.

· Strong presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.

· Knowledge of sexual violence, safeguarding, and trauma-informed approaches.

· Excellent organisation and coordination skills.

· Ability to work independently, follow structured training scripts, and adapt delivery styles as needed.

· Confident in using digital tools for online training delivery.

· Willingness and ability to travel across North Wales as required.

· Flexibility to work outside of standard office hours when needed.
