Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Operations Coordinator to join our team, responsible with delivering and collecting products from our customers, suppliers and VJT iStore in an efficient, safe and timely manner and, as the face of the company, act with complete professionalism and integrity at all times.
Driving will be a part of the role, driving to and from our iStore locations. Liaising with our customers and stock related tasks will be a significant part of the role.
You will be based in Staffordshire, however your registered place of work will be Ashford, Kent.
Full time role - Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week between the hours of 6am - 6pm
Your day-to-day role
- Accurate movement and delivery/collection of our customers and suppliers' products within allocated timeslots.
- Support the delivery of on-client-site installations
- On-site support of client training at launch
- Supporting Operations in relation to stock take activities on client sites.
- Stock replenishment
- Supporting new product-birthing into existing i-Stores.
- Dealing with customers on a daily basis, making sure they are happy with the iStore & solving any problems.
- Loading and unloading products of varying dimensions and weights of up to 25kg.
- Load allocated vehicle, checking all relevant goods are loaded and organised for delivery sites to maximise efficiency. Ensure the vehicle is loaded safely within legal operating limits.
- Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and maintain adherence to optimised route planning through the use of handheld technology.
- Complete a daily vehicle check, ensuring the vehicle is in a roadworthy condition and legally compliant and report any defects or repairs immediately.
- Ensure vehicle is serviced, maintained and clean and company and legal regulations are followed and adhered to at all times.
- Ensure timely communications to relevant stakeholders (internal & external) of any delivery exceptions.
- Adhere to safe working practices and ensure safety of self and others at all times.
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations at all times.
- Familiarise self and comply with all legal requirements such as Transport rules, the Road Traffic Act, Highway Code, speed limits and DVSA legislation related to use of a tachographs, drivers hours regulations and driver CPC requirements.
- Attend any essential training as directed, to carry out the driver's role safely and effectively.
- Any other reasonable duties as requested within the individual's capabilities.
Skills you possess:
· Hold current, full UK driver's licence with no more than 3 points
· Good knowledge/practical use of handheld technology
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Taking initiative and working without continuous supervision.
Ability to problem solve
· Adaptable and flexible approach to workplace demands
. Ability to lift up to 25 kg
Special Considerations
· Need to be flexible with working hours where required.
· Travel ratio 50:50 – Traveling to iStore sites throughout the UK.
· Occasional overnight stays may be required.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: Up to £27,500.00 per year
