Cognisant Search is delighted to have been instructed to appoint a Development Manager on behalf of Harworth Group Plc, one of the leading land and property regeneration companies in the UK. The company specialises in securing large, mixed-use sites by either option or freehold acquisition, preparing them for development, typically industrial/logistics or traditional housing. They develop some of these sites, others they dispose of with the benefit of planning, with remediation/infrastructure works completed.

Key aspects of the role include:

  • Reporting to a Development Director you will develop strong relationships with the housebuilders, agents, landowners, government bodies, etc
  • Identify and execute a suitable business plan bringing together; the financial underwrite, funding, planning, procurement strategies, technical constraints, pro-active estate management and stakeholder management for the progress of your scheme(s)
  • Have an eye on the market, identifying market trends and direction of travel
  • Ensure accurate reporting and identify opportunity and risk throughout the project lifecycle
  • Evidence a track record of delivery through teams and/or multi-disciplinary external consultants

This is an outstanding opportunity to join a business that is ambitious and already has a considerable land & asset bank (c13,000 acres). You are an entrepreneurial property professional with experience of working within the commercial property or I&L sectors.
