We are looking for a HR Specialist to join our team Working in the People Services team is a fantastic opportunity to impact the associate experience at abcam, while learning all about HR technology, policies and practices. It is the ideal progression route into a broader HR career. You will join a friendly yet highly professional team who support our colleagues globally.

What you'll do:

  • Proactively pick up and manage tickets from associates from all regions via the HR ticket system (Service Now) within agreed SLAs

  • Constantly connecting with our associates to better understand how to support them and drive continuous improvement through our processes & associate experience

  • Continuously update FAQs to ensure prompt and complete response to associates queries

  • Assist with day to day HR policy and process queries – ensuring associates are administered in line with their contracts and abcam responsibilities

  • Responsible for payroll input for UK, EMEA, China & APAC regions

  • Oversee and coordinate onboarding processes & induction sessions for new abcam associates for all regions

  • Support project delivery across the wider Human Resources function

Who you are:

You will need to have a strong interest in a career in HR and be committed to your own development within this field. You will also need to be highly customer-centered, ready to contribute positively and constructively with a view to continuously improve the service we provide to our customers.

  • Able to communicate with people at all levels confidently and professionally

  • Proactive outlook with a learning mindset

  • Determined & see things through to completion

  • Associate CIPD Member (Level 3) or keen to work towards.

  • Experienced in (or willing to learn) HR systems and technology.

  • Fluent in English with Chinese (Mandarin) and Japanese as preferred additional languages, but not essential

  • Previous experience working within payroll, compensation & benefits administration
