About the role

We're looking for an experienced Mobile HGV Vehicle Technician to join our Fleet Services team. This is a hands-on role where you'll carry out servicing and repairs on a range of vehicles, while ensuring health and safety standards are met across all workshop activities.

What you'll be doing

  • Deliver high-quality maintenance and repairs on cars, light, heavy, and specialist commercial vehicles.
  • Provide mobile service support and assist with workshop coordination when required.
  • Complete mandatory inspections and calibrations for all workshop equipment.
  • Carry out safety checks, toolbox talks, and risk/COSHH assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures.
  • Exceed customer expectations through exceptional service.
What Success Looks Like:
  • Minimal vehicle downtime and high productivity.
  • Accurate records for inspections and health & safety compliance.
  • Positive customer feedback and zero complaints.
  • Zero accidents and proactive near-miss reporting.

Who we're looking for

Essential:

  • City & Guilds or equivalent qualification (or proven experience).
  • HGV driving licence.
  • Winter maintenance experience.
  • Customer-focused approach.

Desirable:

  • CPC holder.
  • Specialist vehicle knowledge.
  • Basic computer and diagnostic skills, plus strong health and safety awareness.
