About the role of a Safety Barrier Operative

We will provide you with all the training and qualifications you need to become a fully certified Safety Barrier Operative. So if you are mechanically minded, like working outside and have a positive attitude this is a job for you.

A typical working week is Sunday to Thursday on night shift

Responsibilities of a Safety Barrier Operative
- Construction and installation of VRS (Vehicle Restrain Systems) including terminals, transitions, parapets etc
- Inspection and Testing of Existing VRS installations
- Repairs to damaged / defective VRS installations.
- Construction and installation of noise and environmental barriers

What good looks like for a Safety Barrier Operative
- Reliability and an excellent approach to Customer Service
- A positive 'can-do' attitude with great team-working skills
- Mechanically minded and curious
- Full UK driving license with 6 points or less
- Able to pass a Drug and Alcohol test
- Able to pass a safety critical medical as this is very physical work.

It would also be nice if you have:

- Experience within the construction industry would be beneficial but not essential
- Own driving license with 6 points or less
- GRAB driver experience would be beneficial but not essential
- HGV driver experience would be beneficial but not essential
- Class 2 driver experience would be beneficial but not essential
