Remote, United Kingdom TPAS Full time
What You'll Be Doing

You'll play a key role in keeping Tpas' day-to-day finances running smoothly and reliably. Working closely with our Finance Manager, you'll take ownership of core finance administration, making sure processes are accurate, consistent and on time.

Your day-to-day work will include:

  • Maintaining accurate records within our finance system (Xero)
  • Raising, issuing and processing sales invoices
  • Managing the purchase ledger and processing supplier invoices
  • Preparing payments for approval, including staff expenses
  • Carrying out routine banking tasks and supporting reconciliations
  • Supporting debt management through regular debt chasing and follow-up
  • Setting up and maintaining standing orders, direct debits and recurring payments
  • Preparing routine financial information and running standard reports
  • Providing reliable cover for essential finance processes when needed

You'll also work with the Finance Manager to improve and streamline finance processes, respond to routine finance queries from colleagues, and support the preparation of information for accountants or auditors.

What's in It for You

We're a values-led, not-for-profit organisation with a strong reputation in the social housing sector, and a genuine commitment to flexible, people-centred working.

By joining us, you'll benefit from:

  • A flexible, home-based role with a supportive and collaborative team
  • The opportunity to work independently while being trusted to do your job well
  • Ongoing learning and professional development
  • Meaningful work that supports tenant voice and engagement across social housing
  • Regular team connection through meetings and occasional events
What You'll Bring

You'll be organised, dependable, and comfortable working with systems and routine processes. You'll take pride in accuracy, enjoy working methodically, and understand the importance of getting the basics right.

We're looking for someone who can bring:

  • Experience in a finance administration, accounts assistant or similar role
  • Practical experience using accounting software (ideally Xero)
  • Confidence managing invoicing, payments, expenses and debt chasing
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • The ability to manage your workload independently in a remote working environment
  • Clear, professional communication skills
  • A values-driven approach and alignment with Tpas' mission

Experience in a membership body, charity or social housing environment is welcome, but not essential.
