Why this role exists

Groups are an important part of edyn's business, bringing communities, teams and events together across our properties. As Senior Reservations Executive – Group Bookings, you'll act as a subject-matter expert within the team, ensuring smooth fulfilment of group blocks, rooming lists and allocations while supporting the Manager in handling complex queries and process improvements.

What you'll be doing

  • Managing group fulfilment – accurately handle rooming lists, IBE (internet booking engine) bookings and other allocation methods to ensure contracted blocks are delivered on time.
  • Supporting the Manager – act as the first point of escalation for Reservations Executives on group-related queries; provide guidance and feedback to maintain consistent standards.
  • Partnering with Sales – liaise with Sales colleagues to ensure seamless handovers, timely updates and quick resolution of any issues affecting group organisers.
  • Monitoring performance – track group block performance, highlight at-risk allocations and escalate to the Manager or Sales as appropriate.
  • Ensuring compliance – apply group booking and allocation policies fairly and consistently while balancing organiser needs and commercial considerations.
  • Process improvement – identify opportunities to streamline group booking workflows and enhance the organiser experience; share recommendations with the Manager.
  • Training & mentoring – help onboard and upskill new team members on group booking processes and systems.

How success will be measured

  • Accuracy and timeliness of group block fulfilment.
  • Quality and consistency of support provided to the Manager and Reservations Executives.
  • Guest and organiser satisfaction with group booking service.
  • SLA adherence on group booking queries and escalations.
  • Contribution to improvements in group booking processes and outcomes.

What you'll bring

  • Experience in hospitality, reservations or group bookings, ideally in a senior or lead role with exposure to corporate or event-related business.
  • Strong understanding of group contracts, allocations and booking processes.
  • Excellent organisation and attention to detail – able to manage multiple groups accurately.
  • Effective communication skills to liaise with organisers and cross-functional colleagues under pressure.
  • Ability to coach and support colleagues, sharing expertise to raise team capability.
  • A balance of guest empathy and commercial awareness.
