Why this role exists
Groups are an important part of edyn's business, bringing communities, teams and events together across our properties. As Manager, Group Bookings, you'll be the key link between Sales and Reservations once a contract is signed. You'll oversee the fulfilment of group blocks, manage rooming lists and bookings, and ensure every group experience runs smoothly. When challenges arise, you'll work with Sales to resolve them quickly, protecting both the guest experience and commercial outcomes.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Managing group fulfilment - overseeing rooming lists, IBE (internet booking engine) bookings and other allocation methods to ensure contracted blocks are delivered accurately and on time.
  • Partnering with Sales - maintaining strong post-contract relationships with group organisers, ensuring a seamless handover from Sales and consistent communication throughout the booking journey.
  • Monitoring performance - identifying underperforming groups or blocks at risk, and escalating to Sales for triage and resolution.
  • Ensuring compliance - applying booking and allocation policies fairly and consistently while balancing guest needs and commercial considerations.
  • Handling escalations - acting as the main point of contact for more complex group booking queries, coordinating solutions with Sales, Operations and Revenue.
  • Driving improvements - suggesting ways to streamline the group booking process and enhance the guest organiser experience.
  • What you'll be doing - Working with our customers and line associates to convert group opportunities into individual bookings

How Success Will Be Measured

  • Group block fulfilment accuracy and timeliness.
  • Guest and organiser satisfaction with group booking service.
  • SLA adherence on group booking queries and escalations.
  • Reduction in underperforming blocks through proactive monitoring.
  • Positive collaboration feedback from Sales and Operations teams.

What You'll Bring

  • Experience in hospitality, reservations or group bookings, ideally with exposure to corporate or event-related business.
  • Strong understanding of group contracts, allocations and booking processes.
  • Excellent organisation and attention to detail - able to manage multiple groups with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Confidence working cross-functionally with Sales, Revenue and Operations.
  • Strong communication skills - able to keep organisers and colleagues informed, even under pressure.
  • A balance of guest empathy and commercial awareness.
