Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Office Administrator to join our team. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our office environment. The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be proficient in various computer applications, and have prior administrative experience. This is a paid position suitable for individuals looking to develop their administrative skills within a professional setting.
General Responsibilities (but not limited to)
- Manage day-to-day administrative tasks to support office functions
- Handle incoming calls with professionalism and courtesy, providing excellent phone etiquette
- Be the main contact for customers and suppliers
- Maintain organized filing systems, both digital and physical, ensuring easy retrieval of documents
- Perform data entry accurately using Sage, Microsoft Office and Sage Accounting where applicable
- Assist with scheduling appointments and meetings, coordinating calendars effectively
- Prepare correspondence, reports, and other documents as required
- Support invoicing and bookkeeping activities using Sage 50 Accounts Professional
- Ensure the office supplies are stocked and reorder items as necessary
- Collaborate with team members to improve office procedures and workflows
- Work alongside the Manufacturing Team on a daily basis for works to be carried out and ordering of stock parts
Requirements
- Proven office experience with strong organisational skills
- Proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Sage 50
- Demonstrated administrative experience with data entry and clerical duties
- Assist with all aspects of accounting
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Ability to type efficiently with accuracy under pressure
- Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Prior experience in an administrative or clerical role is essential
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent knowledge of the English Language is essential
