Overview

We are a local independent garage offering MOTs, servicing and light repairs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and a passion for automotive repair and maintenance. As a Vehicle Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our clients' vehicles, providing high-quality service in a timely manner. We do not take on any substantial repairs such as clutches etc.

Duties

  • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to diagnose issues and determine necessary repairs.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tyre rotations, and brake inspections.
  • Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively to carry out repairs and replacements.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed on each vehicle, including parts used and time spent on repairs.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high standards of service delivery.
  • Stay updated with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques to enhance skills and knowledge.

Experience

  • A relevant formal qualification in Automotive City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various vehicle systems.
  • Familiarity with hand tools and power tools commonly used in automotive repair.
  • A valid driving licence is essential for this position.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are crucial for success in this role.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £26,777.46-£35,000.00 per year
