Reports to: National Sales manager / Commercial Manager
Service area: Commercial Department
This position aims to sell and develop opportunities with existing and potential customers across the North East and North West.
Principal Responsibilities
- Implement an effective sales strategy.
- Develop new sales opportunities and increase market share across the North East and North West.
- Provide expert support and customer care for Fassa Bortolo adhesives and levellers.
- Deliver CPD presentations to architects and other professional organisations.
- Complete the monthly project log, weekly call report, and maintain the sales database.
- Provide specifications for architects and other professional organisations.
- Offer on-site assistance as needed.
- Collaborate closely with the Fassa UK office on orders, commercial operations, warehouse activities, and other sales functions.
- Occasionally stay overnight at the Fassa UK headquarters.
Experience and Knowledge
This position is ideally suited to someone with a background in construction sales who is seeking their next career move.
- 2–3 years of previous sales experience in the building materials industry is advantageous; however, strong knowledge and an enthusiastic attitude will also be considered.
- Knowledge and understanding of the functions and roles within the construction industry.
- Proven sales experience.
- Proficiency in IT systems, including word processing, spreadsheets, internet, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Soft Skills
- Strong time management and communication skills.
- Understanding of market dynamics and proactive approach.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and build strong relationships at all levels.
- Capacity to work independently, take initiative, and complete tasks and projects on time and to a high standard, demonstrating a positive, can-do attitude.
- Excellent communication skills.
Requirements
- Willingness to travel and stay overnight when necessary.
