Duties and responsibilities related to the Senior Sous Chef role

  • Support the Head Chef in leading the overall kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and exceptional standards of food quality and presentation.
  • Lead by example, providing strong leadership, coaching, and motivation to the culinary team to maintain smooth, well-organised, and high-performing kitchen operations.
  • Play a key role in menu planning, recipe development, and the implementation and enhancement of culinary standards across all outlets.
  • Oversee and guide food preparation, cooking, and plating to ensure precision, consistency, portion accuracy, and full adherence to recipes and brand standards.
  • Champion a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment, ensuring strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.
  • Collaborate closely with other departments and senior leaders to meet service needs, drive operational excellence, and elevate overall guest satisfaction.
  • Act as a senior leader within the kitchen, stepping in for the Head Chef when required to ensure continuity and seamless operations.

About You

You will have proven experience as a Senior Sous Chef in a hotel or high-volume kitchen environment.
