Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Front of House member to join the Shoreline Cafe team. As a Front of House member, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages and providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. Your role will not only involve preparing coffee and other drinks but also handling transactions and other floor tasks.

Duties

  • Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the counter area.
  • Handle food preparation tasks in accordance with food safety standards.
  • Assist customers with their orders, providing recommendations and answering any queries.
  • Manage cash transactions accurately, utilising basic maths skills for handling payments.
  • Ensure all equipment is maintained properly and report any issues to management.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of food safety practices to ensure compliance with health regulations.
  • Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment.
  • Experience in food preparation, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Ability to help customers with a friendly attitude, fostering a positive experience.
  • Basic maths skills for accurate cash handling and order processing.
