Purpose of the post:

Lead on the production and distribution of social media content across Club Doncaster's channels using videography and photography.

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • Capture video from assigned Doncaster Rovers, Doncaster Rugby League and Doncaster Rovers Belles matches (home and away) and other Club Doncaster and Club Doncaster Foundation events.
  • Capture video from player interviews, training sessions, player visits, club and community events that can be used to engage fans across social media and other platforms.
  • Work alongside other communication team members and third parties to request photography the can support the clubs/organisations communications.
  • Use visual content (video and photograph) to tell stories around players, staff and supporters and participants that support the clubs/organisations identities, engages fans and provides sponsorship opportunities.
  • Use social media to positively engage supporters, participants and other stakeholders, providing content that creates reactions and creates calls to action.
  • Organise and edit all content to ensure it is ready to use across digital and non-digital platforms within tight deadlines.
  • Support the communications manager with any media and legal obligations.
  • Support the communications manager with match day delivery by supporting with duties such as media liaison, team sheets, big screen content and other duties.
  • Support the communications manager by posting content directly when requested.
  • Support the communications manager by aligning both video and other content produced by the club with opportunities for marketing campaigns, community engagement and external sponsorship.
