About the role

The Social Media Manager plays a pivotal role in shaping the digital presence of Cambridge International Education. This role is central to our global marketing strategy, driving brand awareness, audience growth, and engagement across key social platforms. By developing and executing a cohesive social media strategy, the role supports our commercial and brand objectives, enhances customer experience, and strengthens our connection with the global education community.

  • Collaboration – You'll work cross-functionally with global teams, sharing expertise and building strong relationships.

Key Role Accountabilities

  • Lead the planning and execution of social media advertising campaigns, managing budgets and optimising for ROI.
  • Collaborate with content creators and marketing leads to deliver compelling, audience-relevant content.
  • Manage online conversations to build brand loyalty, advocacy, and community engagement.
  • Maintain a social listening strategy and crisis management framework.
  • Define governance principles and best-practice processes for global and local teams.
  • Provide training and guidance to marketing teams to ensure effective and consistent use of social channels.
  • Monitor performance, set KPIs, and deliver actionable insights to optimise channel impact.
  • Stay up to date with social media trends and innovations, recommending new approaches and mitigating risks.

About you

  • Strategic and data-driven, with the ability to turn insights into impactful social media strategies.
  • Creative and curious, always exploring new formats, platforms, and storytelling approaches.
  • Digitally confident, with hands-on experience managing social platforms, tools, and performance analytics.
  • Collaborative and influential, able to build strong relationships and guide global teams.
  • Customer-focused, passionate about delivering relevant, engaging experiences to diverse audiences.
  • Organized and accountable, capable of managing multiple campaigns and priorities with precision.
