Night Receptionist – White Star Line Hotel

Department: Front Office

Reports to: Reception Supervisor/ Manager

Location: White Star Line Hotel, Liverpool

Position Type: Part-Time

Working Hours: Typically 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM (overnight shifts, including weekends & holidays)

We are now seeking a dedicated Night Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our hotel during the overnight hours, ensuring smooth operations and guest satisfaction through the night.

Role Overview

As the Night Receptionist, you will be responsible for managing front desk duties during the night shift, ensuring a safe, efficient, and hospitable environment. You'll handle late arrivals, early departures, guest inquiries, and perform administrative tasks while representing the White Star Line brand with professionalism and care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and check-in late-arriving guests in a warm and professional manner
  • Process early morning check-outs, billing, and payment
  • Handle guest inquiries (phone/email/in-person) with courtesy and efficiency
  • Monitor guest safety and conduct routine security checks throughout the night
  • Perform the nightly audit and generate reports
  • Prepare for the upcoming day by setting up documentation and guest requests
  • Maintain cleanliness and order at the front desk and lobby area
  • Follow all White Star Line policies and procedures, including emergency protocols

What We're Looking For

  • Prior experience in front desk or night audit roles (hospitality preferred)
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Comfortable working independently and managing multiple tasks
  • Proficient with hotel booking systems (e.g., OPERA, Rezlynx or Guestline, or similar)
  • Detail-oriented with basic administrative and reporting skills
  • Professional appearance and conduct
  • Knowledge of health & safety and security procedures
  • Fluent in English (additional languages a plus)
  • Eligible to work in the UK
