About the context

The D365 'HERO' Programme is a multi-year global transformation Programme in Finance & Operations implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365 across all our regions. HERO aims to harmonise multiple regional ERPs existing globally, while respecting our divisional operating models and métier specificities. It will create a standardized, single global core ERP model, based on the SaaS Microsoft D365 F&O platform.

Your role @ Chanel

As a Senior Manager of Technical QA at Chanel, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and performance of our Microsoft Dynamics 365 Solution. You will leverage your expertise in automated testing and quality assurance methodologies to enhance our testing framework and drive continuous improvement in our development processes.

This role is to work with development partners tech development leads to assure full code review for  performance, maintainability and security compliance.

- Proactively involved in development and plan, ahead for testing, cutover and Run activities.

- Drive the solution quality assurance lifecycle :

  • Definition of HERO solution QA strategy and framework, aligning with leading practice from our partners with key focus on development, deployment controls and Quality controls.
  • Plan, develop, and execute QA strategy across products and platforms, working closely with D365 Product and Architecture teams.
  • Identify and implement optimisations related to code performance in specific to customisations
  • Assure partner contracts/ Statement of Works have the relevant QA scope and integrated into an overall HERO framework.
  • Collaborate with Regional tech teams to align on QA frameworks and development done for localisation requirements.

- Assisting in Post Go-live Root Cause Analysis (RCA) where relevant to proactively identify improvements to QA framework. Connecting with Microsoft proactively to strengthen HERO QA framework and use of emerging technologies with AI.

- Define quality metrics

  • Own the process of creating metrics to measure and monitor product performance with a preventative monitoring
  • Implement measurements to determine test effectiveness, testing efficiency, and measure the overall quality of the Product
  • Analyse test results and communicate findings to stakeholders, driving discussions on quality improvements

- Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness working with testing lead/ partner

- Build a quality-driven engineering culture that helps ship products rapidly and with good confidence

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all quality aspects of releases
  • Implement and evolve QA processes to get effective test signals and scale testing efforts across multiple products

What you will bring:

Technical Experience:

  • Deep understanding of D365 technical stack with previous hands on role of coding in a global organisation.
  • Programme language expertise related to D365 – X++, technical frameworks e.g. D365 SDK, .net
  • Proficient in tools like GitHub, Azure Dev Ops
  • Experience of D35 in a global context in specific to ISVs, left shift architecture and solution considerations.
  • Strong experience in software quality assurance, with a strong focus on automated testing using Tosca
  • Awareness of Industry standards to assure adherence e.g. GDPR
  • Awareness of software development lifecycles and Agile methodologies

Skills:

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Deep analytical thinking to undertake holistic QA reviews and drive software engineering approach.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, leadership, and client development skills to effectively present information to C-level management and working with global stakeholders
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills, attention to quality, self-motivation, and a strong desire to succeed.
  • Previous track record delivering the full project life cycle.
  • Intellectual curiosity, especially around emerging enterprise technologies.
  • Experience in an international context and culture.
  • Process-driven and pragmatic approach to supporting the business
  • English is a must, French or other spoken languages is a plus
